Complete the fringe benefit tax election in myIR

Register for myIR if you do not have an account.

The fringe benefit tax election will tell us:

  • the filing frequency you want to start using, or
  • that you are changing what benefits you provide employees and do not need to file fringe benefit tax returns any more.

What happens next

Your request will take 5 working days to process. We will send you a letter or let you know through myIR when this is completed.

You can send us a message in myIR advising:

  • the filing frequency you want to use, or 
  • changes to the benefit you provide your employees and that you do not need to file a fringe benefit tax return anymore.
