What happens next
If there are any changes to your child support based on this information, we'll send you a new notice of assessment or entitlement.
If you get a benefit from Work and Income, child support is only paid to you if it is more than the amount of sole parent benefit you get. Otherwise, the payments from the paying parent will go to the government to help cover the cost of your benefit.
If you get a benefit from Work and Income and you're a paying parent, we'll deduct your child support payments from your benefit.
