Reciprocal Agreements

Australia and New Zealand have a Reciprocal Agreement on child support. This means child support customers living in either country can make and receive payments administered by the government. The country of the receiving carer makes the assessment but both countries collect payments and carry out legal action if needed.

In New Zealand child support administration is done by Inland Revenue. If you live in Australia and your case is managed by us, you must make all payments to us.

In Australia child support administration is done by the Department of Human Services (DHS). If you live in Australia and your case is managed by the DHS, you must make all payments to them.

You can make your payments online.
